- 1 Des entsetzt sich mein Herz und bebet.
- 2 Lieber, höret doch, wie sein Donner zürnet, und was für Gespräch von seinem Munde ausgehet!
- 3 Er siehet unter allen Himmeln, und sein Blitz scheinet auf die Enden der Erde.
- 4 Dem nach brüllet der Donner, und er donnert mit seinem großen Schall, und wenn sein Donner gehöret wird, kann man's nicht aufhalten.
- 5 GOtt donnert mit seinem Donner greulich und tut große Dinge, und wird doch nicht erkannt.
- 6 Er spricht zum Schnee, so ist er bald auf Erden, und zum Platzregen, so ist der Platzregen da mit Macht.
- 7 Alle Menschen hat er in der Hand als verschlossen, daß die Leute lernen, was er tun kann.
- 8 Das wilde Tier gehet in die Höhle und bleibt an seinem Ort.
- 9 Von Mittag her kommt Wetter und von Mitternacht Kälte.
- 10 Vom Odem GOttes kommt Frost, und große Wasser, wenn er auftauen läßt.
- 11 Die dicken Wolken scheiden sich, daß es helle werde, und durch den Nebel bricht sein Licht.
- 12 Er kehret die Wolken, wo er hin will, daß sie schaffen alles, was er ihnen gebeut, auf dem Erdboden,
- 13 es sei über ein Geschlecht oder über ein Land, so man ihn barmherzig findet.
- 14 Da merke auf, Hiob; stehe, und vernimm die Wunder GOttes!
- 15 Weißt du, wenn GOtt solches über sie bringt und wenn er das Licht seiner Wolken läßt hervorbrechen?
- 16 Weißt du, wie sich die Wolken ausstreuen? Welche Wunder die Vollkommenen wissen.
- 17 Daß deine Kleider warm sind, wenn das Land stille ist vom Mittagswind?
- 18 Ja, du wirst mit ihm die Wolken ausbreiten, die fest stehen wie ein gegossener Spiegel.
- 19 Zeige uns, was wir ihm sagen sollen; denn wir werden nicht dahin reichen vor Finsternis.
- 20 Wer wird ihm erzählen, daß ich rede? So jemand redet, der wird verschlungen.
- 21 Jetzt siehet man das Licht nicht, das in den Wolken helle leuchtet; wenn aber der Wind wehet, so wird's klar.
- 22 Von Mitternacht kommt Gold zu Lob vor dem schrecklichen GOtt.
- 23 Den Allmächtigen aber mögen sie nicht begreifen, der so groß ist von Kraft; denn er wird von seinem Recht und guter Sache nicht Rechenschaft geben.
- 24 Darum müssen ihn fürchten die Leute; und er fürchtet sich vor keinem, wie weise sie sind.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
