- 1 Wohlan, alle, die ihr durstig seid, kommt her zum Wasser; und die ihr nicht Geld habt, kommt her, kaufet und esset; kommt her und kaufet ohne Geld und umsonst beides, Wein und Milch!
- 2 Warum zählet ihr Geld dar, da kein Brot ist, und eure Arbeit, da ihr nicht satt von werden könnet? Höret mir doch zu und esset das Gute, so wird eure Seele in Wollust fett werden.
- 3 Neiget eure Ohren her und kommt her zu mir; höret, so wird eure Seele leben! Denn ich will mit euch einen ewigen Bund machen, nämlich die gewissen Gnaden Davids.
- 4 Siehe, ich habe ihn den Leuten zum Zeugen gestellet, zum Fürsten und Gebieter den Völkern.
- 5 Siehe, du wirst Heiden rufen, die du nicht kennest; und Heiden, die dich nicht kennen, werden zu dir laufen um des HErrn willen, deines GOttes, und des Heiligen in Israel, der dich preise.
- 6 Suchet den HErrn, weil er zu finden ist; rufet ihn an, weil er nahe ist!
- 7 Der Gottlose lasse von seinem Wege und der Übeltäter seine Gedanken und bekehre sich zum HErrn, so wird er sich sein erbarmen, und zu unserm GOtt, denn bei ihm ist viel Vergebung.
- 8 Denn meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken, und eure Wege sind nicht meine Wege, spricht der HErr,
- 9 sondern soviel der Himmel höher ist denn die Erde, so sind auch meine Wege höher denn eure Wege und meine Gedanken denn eure Gedanken.
- 10 Denn gleichwie der Regen und Schnee vom Himmel fällt und nicht wieder dahin kommt, sondern feuchtet die Erde und macht sie fruchtbar und wachsend, daß sie gibt Samen zu säen und Brot zu essen,
- 11 also soll das Wort, so aus meinem Munde gehet, auch sein: Es soll nicht wieder zu mir leer kommen, sondern tun, das mir gefällt, und soll ihm gelingen, dazu ich's sende.
- 12 Denn ihr sollt in Freuden ausziehen und im Frieden geleitet werden. Berge und Hügel sollen vor euch her frohlocken mit Ruhm und alle Bäume auf dem Felde mit den Händen klappen.
- 13 Es sollen Tannen für Hecken wachsen und Myrten für Dornen; und dem HErrn soll ein Name und ewiges Zeichen sein, das nicht ausgerottet werde.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
