- 1 Wehe denen, die Schaden zu tun trachten und gehen mit bösen Tücken um auf ihrem Lager, daß sie es früh, wenn es licht wird, vollbringen, weil sie die Macht haben!
- 2 Sie reißen zu sich Äcker und nehmen Häuser, welche sie gelüstet. Also treiben sie Gewalt mit eines jeden Hause und mit eines jeden Erbe.
- 3 Darum spricht der HErr also: Siehe, ich gedenke über dies Geschlecht Böses, aus dem ihr euren Hals nicht ziehen und nicht so stolz dahergehen sollet; denn es soll eine böse Zeit sein.
- 4 Zur selbigen Zeit wird man einen Spruch von euch machen und klagen: Es ist aus, wird man sagen; wir sind verstöret. Meines Volkes Land kriegt einen fremden Herrn. Wann wird er uns die Äcker wieder zuteilen, die er uns genommen hat?
- 5 Jawohl, ihr werdet kein Teil behalten in der Gemeine des HErrn.
- 6 Sie sagen, man solle nicht träufen; denn solche Träufe trifft uns nicht; wir werden nicht so zuschanden werden.
- 7 Das Haus Jakob tröstet sich also: Meinest du, des HErrn Geist sei verkürzt? Sollte er solches tun wollen? Es ist wahr, meine Reden sind freundlich den Frommen.
- 8 Aber mein Volk hat sich aufgemacht wie ein Feind; denn sie rauben beide, Rock und Mantel, denen, so sicher dahergehen, gleichwie die, so aus dem Kriege kommen.
- 9 Ihr treibet die Weiber meines Volks aus ihren lieben Häusern und nehmet stets von ihren jungen Kindern meinen Schmuck.
- 10 Darum machet euch auf; ihr müsset davon; ihr sollt hie nicht bleiben! Um ihrer Unreinigkeit willen müssen sie unsanft zerstöret werden.
- 11 Wenn ich ein Irrgeist wäre und ein Lügenprediger und predigte, wie sie saufen und schwelgen sollten, das wäre ein Prediger für dies Volk.
- 12 Ich will aber dich, Jakob, versammeln ganz und die übrigen in Israel zuhauf bringen; ich will sie wie eine Herde miteinander in einen festen Stall tun und wie eine Herde in seine Hürden, daß es von Menschen tönen soll.
- 13 Es wird ein Durchbrecher vor ihnen herauffahren; sie werden durchbrechen und zum Tor aus- und einziehen; und ihr König wird vor ihnen hergehen, und der HErr vornean.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
