- 1 «Ωιδή Ψαλμού διά τους υιούς Κορέ.» Μέγας ο Κύριος και αινετός σφόδρα εν τη πόλει του Θεού ημών, τω όρει της αγιότητος αυτού.
- 2 Ωραίον την θέσιν, χαρά πάσης της γης, είναι το όρος Σιών, προς τα πλάγια του βορρά· η πόλις του Βασιλέως του μεγάλου·
- 3 ο Θεός εν τοις παλατίοις αυτής γνωρίζεται ως προπύργιον.
- 4 Διότι, ιδού, οι βασιλείς συνήχθησαν· διήλθον ομού.
- 5 Αυτοί, ως είδον, εθαύμασαν· εταράχθησαν και μετά σπουδής έφυγον.
- 6 Τρόμος συνέλαβεν αυτούς εκεί· πόνοι ως τικτούσης.
- 7 Δι' ανέμου ανατολικού συντρίβεις τα πλοία της Θαρσείς.
- 8 Καθώς ηκούσαμεν, ούτω και είδομεν εν τη πόλει του Κυρίου των δυνάμεων, εν τη πόλει του Θεού ημών· ο Θεός θέλει θεμελιώσει αυτήν εις τον αιώνα. Διάψαλμα.
- 9 Μελετώμεν, Θεέ, το έλεός σου εν μέσω του ναού σου.
- 10 Κατά το όνομά σου, Θεέ, ούτω και η αίνεσίς σου είναι έως των περάτων της γής· η δεξιά σου είναι πλήρης δικαιοσύνης.
- 11 Ας ευφραίνεται το όρος Σιών, ας αγάλλωνται αι θυγατέρες του Ιούδα διά τας κρίσεις σου.
- 12 Κυκλώσατε την Σιών και περιέλθετε αυτήν· αριθμήσατε τους πύργους αυτής.
- 13 Θέσατε την προσοχήν σας εις τα περιτειχίσματα αυτής· περιεργάσθητε τα παλάτια αυτής· διά να διηγήσθε εις γενεάν μεταγενεστέραν·
- 14 Διότι ούτος ο Θεός είναι ο Θεός ημών εις τον αιώνα του αιώνος· αυτός θέλει οδηγεί ημάς μέχρι θανάτου.

This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
