- 1 Im ersten Jahre Kores`, des Königs von Persien, (damit erfüllt würde das durch den Mund Jeremias geredete Wort des HERRN), erweckte der HERR den Geist des Kores, des Königs von Persien, so daß er durch sein ganzes Königreich ausrufen und auch schriftlich bekanntmachen ließ:
- 2 So spricht Kores, der König von Persien: Der HERR, der Gott des Himmels, hat mir alle Königreiche der Erde gegeben, und er selbst hat mir befohlen, ihm ein Haus zu bauen zu Jerusalem, das in Juda ist.
- 3 Wer irgend unter euch zu seinem Volk gehört, mit dem sei sein Gott, und er ziehe hinauf gen Jerusalem, das in Juda ist, und baue das Haus des HERRN, des Gottes Israels. Er ist der Gott zu Jerusalem.
- 4 Und wer noch übrig ist an allen Orten, wo er als Fremdling weilt, dem sollen die Leute seines Ortes helfen mit Silber und Gold und Fahrnis und Vieh nebst freiwilligen Gaben für das Haus Gottes zu Jerusalem.
- 5 Da machten sich die Familienhäupter von Juda und Benjamin auf und die Priester und Leviten, alle, deren Geist Gott erweckte, um hinaufzuziehen, das Haus des HERRN, welches zu Jerusalem ist, zu bauen.
- 6 Und alle ihre Nachbarn stärkten ihnen die Hände mit silbernen und goldenen Geräten, mit Fahrnis und Vieh und Kleinodien, außer dem, was sie freiwillig gaben.
- 7 Und der König Kores gab die Geräte des Hauses des HERRN heraus, die Nebukadnezar aus Jerusalem genommen und in das Haus seines Gottes getan hatte.
- 8 Kores, der König von Persien, gab sie heraus durch Mitredat, den Schatzmeister, und zählte sie Sesbazzar, dem Fürsten von Juda, dar.
- 9 Und dies ist ihre Zahl: dreißig goldene Becken, tausend silberne Becken, neunundzwanzig Schalen.
- 10 Dreißig goldene Becher, und der silbernen Becher von zweiter Gattung vierhundertzehn, und tausend andere Geräte.
- 11 Aller Geräte, der goldenen und silbernen, waren 5400. Diese alle brachte Sesbazzar hinauf mit denen, die aus der Gefangenschaft gen Jerusalem hinaufzogen.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
