- 1 En man var på Ephraims berg, benämnd Micha.
- 2 Han sade till sina moder: De tusende och hundrade silfpenningar, som äro tagne ifrå dig, och som du svorit öfver, och sagt för min öron, si, de samma penningar äro när mig; jag hafver tagit dem till mig. Då sade hans moder: Välsignad vare min son Herranom.
- 3 Så fick han sine moder de tusende och hundrade silfpenningar igen; och hans moder sade: Jag hafver helgat de penningarna Herranom ifrå mine hand, för min son, till att man må göra ett gjutet beläte; derföre så får jag dig dem nu igen.
- 4 Men han fick sine moder penningarna igen. Då tog hans moder tuhundrade silfpenningar, och fick dem till guldsmeden; han gjorde henne ett gjutet beläte; det var sedan i Micha huse.
- 5 Och den mannen Micha hade så ett guds hus; och han gjorde en lifkjortel, och afgudar, och fyllde enom sinom son handena, att han vardt hans Prester.
- 6 På den tiden var ingen Konung i Israel, och hvar och en gjorde såsom honom tyckte godt vara.
- 7 Men en ung man var på den tiden af BethLehem Juda, ibland Juda slägte, och han var en Levit, och var dersammastäds främmande.
- 8 Men han drog utu BethLehem, Juda stad, till att vandra hvart han kunde; och då han kom på Ephraims berg till Micha hus, på det han skulle hålla sin väg fram,
- 9 Frågade honom Micha: Hvadan kommer du? Han svarade honom: Jag är en Levit af BethLehem Juda, och vandrar hvart jag kan.
- 10 Micha sade till honom: Blif när mig, du skall vara min fader, och min Prest; jag vill gifva dig årliga tio silfpenningar, och någor förenämnd kläder, och din födo. Och Leviten gick med honom.
- 11 Och Leviten tog till att blifva när mannenom; och han höll den unga mannen såsom en son.
- 12 Och Micha fyllde Levitenom handena, så att han vardt hans Prester, och blef så i Micha huse.
- 13 Och Micha sade: Nu vet jag, att Herren varder mig godt görandes, efter jag hafver en Levit till Prest.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
