    • 1   Мала ж і перва скиня установи служби, і сьвятиню людську.
    • 2   Споруджено бо перву скиню, а в ній сьвітильник і стіл і предложеннє хлібів, котра зветь ся: Сьвята.
    • 3   За другою ж завісою скина, що звана: Сьвятая Сьвятих;
    • 4   мала вона золоту кадильницю і ковчег завіта, окований усюди золотом, а в ньому посудина золота з манною, і жезло Ааронове зацьвівше, і скрижалї завіта,
    • 5   а над ним херувими слави, отїнюючі ублагальню. Про се не слїд менї говорити порізно.
    • 6   Як же се так устроєно, то в перву скиню завсїди входили сьвященики, правлячи служби;
    • 7   у другу ж раз у рік сам архиєрей, не без крові, котру приносить за себе і за людські провини.
    • 8   Сим ясує Дух сьвятий, що дорога у сьвятиню ще не явилась, доки перва скиня стоїть.
    • 9   Котра єсть образ часу настоящого, в котрому приносять ся і дари і жертви, що не можуть звершити по совісті того, хто служить,
    • 10   а були тілько в їжах і напитках, та у всяких обливаннях і установах тіла, накинуті аж до часу направи.
    • 11   Хрйстос же, прийшовши яко Архиєрей грядущих благ, із більшою і звершенїщою скинею, нерукотвореною, се єсть не такого будування,
    • 12   анї з кровю козлиною, ні телячою, а своєю кровю, увійшов раз у сьвятиню, знайшовши вічне відкупленнє.
    • 13   Бо коли кров волова та козина і попід з яловиці, окроплюючи осквернених, осьвячує на тілесну чистоту;
    • 14   то скілько більше кров Христа, що Духом вічнїм принїс себе непорочного Богу, очистить совість вашу від мертвих діл, щоб служити Богу живому?
    • 15   І задля того Він посередник нового завіту, щоб, як станеть ся смерть, на одкупленнє переступів, що (були) у первому завіті, прийняли покликані обітницю вічнього наслїддя.
    • 16   Де бо єсть завіт, там мусить прийти й смерть завітуючого.
    • 17   Завіт бо після мертвих має силу: яко ж бо нїчого не стоїть, доки жив завітуючий.
    • 18   Тим же й первий не був осьвячений без крови.
    • 19   Як вирік бо Мойсей всяку заповідь по закону всім людям, то взявши крови телячої та козлиної з водою та червоної вовни та гисопу, покропив і саму книгу і ввесь народ,
    • 20   глаголючи: "Се кров завіту, котрий завітував вам Бог."
    • 21   І скиню і ввесь посуд служебний кровю так само покропив.
    • 22   А мало не все кровю очищаєть ся по закону, і без пролиття крови не буває оставлення (гріхів).
    • 23   Оце ж треба було, щоб образи небесного сим очищались, саме ж небесне луччими жертвами, ніж сї.
    • 24   Не в рукотворену бо сьвятиню ввійшов Христос, зроблену взором правдивої, а в саме небо, щоб нинї являтись лицю Божому за нас,
    • 25   анї щоб много раз приносити себе, яко ж архиєрей входить у святиню по всї роки з чужою кровю;
    • 26   (а то б треба було Йому много раз страдати від настання сьвіту) а нинї раз у концї віків явив ся на знївеченнє гріха жертвою своєю.
    • 27   І як призначено людям раз умерти, а потім суд,
    • 28   так і Христос, один раз принесений, щоб понести гріхи многих, удруге без гріха явить ся ждучим Його на спасеннє.

Basic Hash Usage Explained

At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.

We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.

Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.

Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.

Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.

The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
