    • 1   Нехай не трівожить ся серце ваше. Віруйте в Бога і в мене віруйте.
    • 2   В дому Отця мого осель багато. Коли б ні, сказав би вам: Ійду наготовити місце вам.
    • 3   І, як пійду та наготовлю вам місце, знов прийду й прийму вас до себе, щоб де я, і ви були.
    • 4   А куди я йду, знаєте, й дорогу знаєте.
    • 5   Каже Йому Тома: Господи, не знаємо, куди йдеш; і як можемо дорогу знати?
    • 6   Рече йому Ісус: Я дорога й правда, й життє: нїхто не приходить до Отця, як тільки мною.
    • 7   Коли б зняли мене, й Отця мого знали б; і від нинї знаєте Його, й виділи Його.
    • 8   Каже Йому Филип: Господи, покажи нам Отця, то й буде з нас.
    • 9   Рече йому Ісус: Стілький час я з вами, й не пізнав єси мене, Филипе? Хто видів мене, видів Отця; як же ти кажеш: Покажи нам Отця?
    • 10   Хиба не ймеш віри, що я в Отцї і Отець у менї? Слова, що я промовляю вам, від себе не промовляю; Отець же, що в менї пробуває, Той робить дїла.
    • 11   Віруйте менї, що я в Отцї і Отець у менї; коли ж ні, задля діл самих віруйте менї.
    • 12   Істино, істино глаголю вам: Хто вірує в мене, дїла, що я роблю, і він робити ме: й більше сього робити ме; бо я до Отця мого йду.
    • 13   І чого просити мете в імя моє, те зроблю, щоб прославивсь Отець у Сині.
    • 14   Коли чого просити мете в імя моє, я зроблю.
    • 15   Коли любите мене, хороніть заповідї мої.
    • 16   І я вблагаю Отця, і дасть вам иншого утїшителя, щоб пробував з вами по вік,
    • 17   Духа правди, котрого сьвіт не може прийняти; бо не видить Його, анї знає Його; ви ж знаєте Його, бо з вами пробуває і в вас буде.
    • 18   Не зоставлю вас сиротами: прийду до вас.
    • 19   Ще трохи, й сьвіт мене більш не видїти ме; ви ж будете видїти мене, бо я живу, й ви жити мете.
    • 20   Того дня знати мете, що я в Отцї моїм, і ви в мені, а я в вас.
    • 21   Хто має заповіді мої і хоронить їх, той любить мене; хто ж любить мене, буде люблений від Отця мого, і я любити му його, і обявлюсь йому.
    • 22   Каже Йому Юда, не Іскариоцький: Господи, що воно єсть, що маєш нам обявитись, а не сьвітові?
    • 23   Відказав Ісус і рече йому: Коли хто любить мене, слово моє хоронити ме, і Отець мій любити ме його, і до него прийдемо, і оселю в него зробимо.
    • 24   Хто не любить мене, словес моїх не хоронить; а слово, що ви чуєте, не моє, а пославшого мене Отця.
    • 25   Се я глаголав вам, у вас пробуваючи.
    • 26   Утїшитель же, Дух сьвятий, котрого пішле Отець в імя моє, Той научить вас усього, й пригадав вам усе, що я глаголав вам.
    • 27   Упокій оставляю вам, мій упокій даю вам; не, яко ж сьвіт дає, я даю вам. Нехай не трівожить ся серце ваше, анї лякаєть ся.
    • 28   Ви чули, що я глаголав вам: Ійду, й прийду до вас. Коли б любили мене, зрадїли б, що я сказав: Ійду до Отця; бо Отець мій більший мене.
    • 29   І оце глаголав вам, перш нїж тому стати ся, щоб, як станеть ся, увірували.
    • 30   Вже більш не говорити му багато з вами, йде бо князь сьвіта сього, й у менї не має нїчого.
    • 31   Та, щоб знав сьвіт, що я люблю Отця, і, яко ж заповідав менї Отець, так чиню. Уставайте, ходімо з відсїля.

Basic Hash Usage Explained

At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.

We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.

Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.

Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.

Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.

The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
