- 1 فشحور کاهن، پسر اِمیر، که سردستۀ ناظران عبادتگاه بود، وقتی سخنان ارمیا را شنید،
- 2 امر کرد که او را بزنند و به پاهایش زولانه انداخته در کنار دروازۀ فوقانی بنیامین که در عبادتگاه بود، نگاهش دارند.
- 3 فردای آن، وقتی فشحور، ارمیا را از بند رها کرد، ارمیا به او گفت که خداوند نام فشحور را به «وحشت از هر طرف» تبدیل کرد
- 4 و فرمود: «من ترا با تمام دوستانت دچار ترس و وحشت می سازم و دوستانت در برابر چشمانت با ضرب شمشیر دشمن کشته می شوند. من تمام مردم یهودا را تسلیم پادشاه بابل خواهم کرد؛ او گروهی را به اسارت می برد و عده‌ای را خواهد کشت.
- 5 دشمنان تمام ثروت این شهر را همراه با دسترنج مردمِ آن، اشیای گرانبها و خزاین پادشاه یهودا را تاراج می کنند و به بابل می برند.
- 6 تو هم ای فشحور با همه اعضای خانواده و دوستانت که برای شان به دروغ پیشگوئی می کردی، اسیر و به بابل برده شده در آنجا می میرید و دفن می شوید.»
- 7 خداوندا، تو مرا فریفتی و من فریفته شدم. تو نیرومند بودی و مرا مغلوب کردی و مایۀ تمسخر مردم ساختی و مردم همیشه به من می خندند.
- 8 وقتی بخواهم حرف بزنم، باید داد و فریاد کنم و از ظلم و بیدادگری بنالم. در نتیجه، مردم مرا بخاطر بیان کلام تو مسخره و تحقیر می کنند.
- 9 از طرف دیگر، اگر کلام ترا به مردم اعلام نکنم و نام ترا یاد نکنم، آنگاه کلام تو در دلم مانند آتش، شعله ور می شود و تا مغز استخوانهایم نفوذ می کند و نمی توانم آرام گیرم.
- 10 از همگی می شنوم که می گویند: «از همه سو وحشت می بارد. باید او را بفریبیم و بعد دستگیرش کرده از او انتقام بگیریم.» حتی دوستان نزدیکم انتظار سقوط مرا دارند.
- 11 اما چون خداوندِ قادر و توانا همراه من است، ستمگران من می لغزند و مغلوب می شوند. آن ها همه خجل سرافگنده شده تا ابد ناکام و رسوا می گردند.
- 12 ای خدای قادر مطلق، تو مردم را از روی انصاف و عدالت می آزمائی و از افکار و اسرار دل همه کس آگاه هستی. من دعوای خود را بحضورت ارائه کرده ام و می خواهم ببینم که چطور از آن ها انتقامت را می گیری.
- 13 برای خداوند سرود شکرگزاری را بسرائید و او را ستایش کنید، زیرا مسکینان را از دست ظالمان و بدکاران نجات می بخشد.
- 14 لعنت بر آن روزی که بدنیا آمدم و آن روزی که مادرم مرا زائید، برکت نبیند!
- 15 لعنت بر آن کسی که به پدرم از تولد من مژده داد و گفت: «مبارک باد که صاحب پسری شده ای.» و با این مژده او را خوشحال ساخت.
- 16 آن مرد به سرنوشت شهرهائی که خداوند بدون ترحم ویران کرد، گرفتار شود تا از صدای گریه و ناله در صبح و از شنیدن زنگ خطر جنگ هنگام ظهر رنج ببرد،
- 17 زیرا در رَحِم مادر مرا نکشت تا شکم مادرم گور من می بود و مادرم همیشه حامله باقی می ماند.
- 18 چرا از رَحِم مادر بدنیا آمدم؟ آیا بخاطر این بود که زحمت و غم بکشم و دوران زندگی خود را در خواری و رسوائی بگذرانم؟

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
