- 2 Sihon, die koning van die Amoriete wat in Hesbon gewoon het, wat geheers het van Aroër af wat aan die kant van die Arnonrivier lê: van die middel van die rivier af en oor die helfte van Gílead tot by die Jabbokrivier, die grens van die kinders van Ammon;
- 3 en oor die Vlakte tot by die Kínnerotsee, na die ooste toe, en tot by die See van die Vlakte, die Soutsee, oostelik in die rigting van Bet-Hajésimot en teen die suide onderaan die hange van Pisga;
- 4 en die grondgebied van Og, die koning van Basan, uit 'n oorblyfsel van die Refaïete, wat in Astarot en Edréï gewoon het,
- 5 en wat geheers het oor die gebergte Hermon en oor Salka en oor die hele Basan tot by die grens van die Gesuriete en die Maägatiete, en tot die helfte van Gílead, die grondgebied van Sihon, die koning van Hesbon.
- 6 Moses, die kneg van die HERE, en die kinders van Israel het hulle verslaan; en Moses, die kneg van die HERE, het dit as 'n besitting gegee aan die Rubeniete en die Gadiete en die halwe stam van Manasse.
- 7 En dit is die konings van die land wat Josua en die kinders van Israel verslaan het, duskant die Jordaan na die weste toe: van Baäl-Gad in die laagte van die Líbanon af tot by die Kaal Berg wat oploop na Seïr toe; en Josua het dit as 'n besitting aan die stamme van Israel gegee volgens hulle afdelings —
- 8 op die Gebergte en in die Laeveld en in die Vlakte en aan die hange en in die woestyn en in die Suidland: die Hetiete, Amoriete en Kanaäniete, die Feresiete, Hewiete en Jebusiete:
- 9 die koning van Jérigo, een; die koning van Ai wat langsaan Bet-el lê, een ;
- 10 die koning van Jerusalem, een; die koning van Hebron, een;
- 11 die koning van Jarmut, een; die koning van Lagis, een;
- 12 die koning van Eglon, een; die koning van Geser, een;
- 13 die koning van Debir, een; die koning van Geder, een;

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
